Before you book a request, here are some frequently asked questions you may want to know...
1. Is there a trip fee if I call you out?
Yes. There is a $50 trip fee. It covers my travel time and fuel to come to your location.
2. Do you need to visit the property before the shoot?
Sometimes. If your location has special requirements i.e. multiple scenes, wedding planning, unique shot plans, etc...I may do a site check in advance.
3. How far in advance should I book?
The sooner, the better — especially during peak seasons or for special events. A minimum of 1–2 weeks’ notice is recommended. There will be a rush fee if there is no prior arrangements and you want me there tomorrow.
4. What areas do you serve?
I’m based in the Houston area but will travel to surrounding cities and counties. Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside my regular service area.
5. Are you licensed?
Yes. I hold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and follow all FAA rules and safety regulations.
6. Do you have insurance?
Yes. I carry liability insurance for commercial drone operations.
7. What if the weather is bad on the day of my shoot?
Safety first! If weather conditions aren’t safe for flying (high winds, heavy rain, lightning, etc.), we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. My drones do not fly in the rain.
8. Can you fly anywhere I want?
Not always. Some locations require FAA clearance or special permissions. I’ll check airspace maps and handle authorization requests for you.
9. How will I receive my photos or videos?
I’ll send a download link via Google Drive, Dropbox, or another file-sharing service in high-resolution format.
10. Do you edit the photos and videos?
Yes, basic color correction and light adjustments are included. Advanced editing and video production can be added for an extra fee.
11. What happens if I cancel?
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your booking, you’ll get a refund minus the trip fee. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit the deposit (if deposit is required).
12. Can you do live streaming from the drone?
Yes - in certain conditions and locations. Contact me to discuss options. (You provide the monitor)
13. Can you provide thermal or inspection services?
Yes. I offer thermal drone imaging (coming soon: drone thermography certification) for roof inspections, heat loss detection, and more.
14. Do you offer bulk pricing for multiple properties?
Yes, for real estate, roofing, or construction clients needing regular visits, I offer discounted rates. Per visit per property. (Most developments & larger companies have their own media teams, so this can cut down on time spent on a project thus saving the client who has many projects some money & time on post production on my end)
15. Do you conduct drone services at Golf Tournaments? How do you charge and what is required?
Yes, weather permitting, I enjoy shooting at Golf Tournaments. I charge an hourly rate so I will need to know the basics, like; How long do you need to book me? Will there be post production needed? What time do you want me to be there?
If you should want me to conduct drone services at your tournament, I request the use of a golf cart at no cost to SLAP in order to conduct safe flights, I am required by the FAA to retain visual line of sight.
16. How do I book a drone project with you?
You can request drone services thru my booking link HERE. There is a selection of basic packages as well as an option to book a custom mission. The booking link will allow you to put your address in at the same time as checking air space. When you enter your info, the request will come to my e-mail.
Sorry, I do not book drone projects verbally. Any mission plans MUST come via E-mail or via booking platform. This helps to keep things in order.
You are always welcome to send me a message if you have any other questions.
